Lost Bunny: Example Rules
Lost Bunny: Example UI and Game

Vie is a tiny game engine, game protoyping tool, and visual live programming environment for simultaneously prototyping and play testing a game’s mechanisms [1, 2]. Originally designed around Micro-Machinations as a professional game design tool, Vie can also be applied for teaching programming and game-based learning. The tool’s design is based on the Cascade meta-language and the Godot game engine.

CWI Open Day. At the CWI open day, kids aged 8 to 14 built their own games. Using Vie, they engaged in exploratory programming using two design themes: a) recovering a lost bunny and b) preventing climate change [3].

ICT.Open. We will be at ICT.Open on April 11–12 2024, in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. In a live demo, participants of ICT. Open can also try this tutorial, and experience its main goals: “programming is fun; can be visual too; and is for everyone”.

Release. A release of Vie is planned in the second part of 2024. More information to follow.
